Teaching Assistant

Location: Bath, BA1

Start Date: December 2nd

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Temporary with a view to becoming permanent

Axcis are working with a specialist school in Bath BA2, dedicated to supporting students aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a supportive and nurturing environment designed to help students overcome challenges, build emotional resilience, and achieve their academic potential. With a focus on personalised learning, we provide opportunities for outdoor education and other activities aimed at holistic development.

Requirements:

1. Experience supporting children with ASD or SEND is highly desirable.
2. Patient, reliable and adaptable, with a caring attitude.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with school staff.
4. Ability to manage and support students with challenging behaviour in a calm and proactive manner.

Ideal Candidate:

We would love to hear from you if you have experience in:

1. Nurseries, youth clubs, care homes, or residential settings.
2. Personal experience supporting SEND children.
3. Sociology, psychology, sports, music, art, or drama graduates.

Additional Information:

1. Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
2. Full-time positions available
3. Pay: £83.40 per day, based on experience and qualifications
4. This role is initially temporary with the potential for a permanent contract
