I am actively seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join a successful and busy Multidisciplinary Structural Engineering Consultancy in Bishop's Stortford. Key Responsibilities for this Graduate Structural Engineer include:
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for a range of building types, from residential to commercial.
- Work closely with senior engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects, from concept to delivery.
- Produce and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform site visits to monitor progress and provide technical support.
- Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors to achieve project goals.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and strategies for structural challenges.
Qualifications and Skills for this Graduate Structural Engineering role:- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building design.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
- A desire to learn and develop within the structural engineering field.
