Swindon Borough Council are on an exciting journey to transform service delivery and have been shortlisted for the ‘Most Improved Council’ at the Local Government Awards (LGA).

We are at a pivotal moment in investing in our Corporate Landlord Function which will be key to the delivery of the Council’s services and the delivery of our wider ambitions to promote inward investment, deliver inclusive growth outcomes for the residents of Swindon, accelerate new housing and support the delivery of high profile regeneration projects in our town centre. Dependent on seniority of the role, you will have a professional qualification and/or a knowledge base or interest in land and property asset management, and experience related to the role. This ranges from achieving the best use of assets to support service delivery and keeping assets maintained and compliant, maximising the value of the commercial portfolio, or identifying and delivering added value through development. A good understanding of appropriate legislation for the relevant role is needed.

If you feel you can add value to Swindon Borough Council and be a part in shaping how we deliver our corporate landlord activity we are keen to hear from you.

Your next role

You will assist with the management of all of the Council’s property assets with an emphasis on supporting the Corporate Estate and Land & Miscellaneous Assets portfolios, whilst also providing a comprehensive support service to the Corporate Property team.

You will also assist portfolio managers to help with how the Council best utilises and manages its land and property assets to meet the needs of our residents, generate increased commercial returns and help with our growth and place shaping aspirations.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).

Your next package

Please see our Rewards and Benefits offer for more details.

As a Swindon Borough Council employee, you will work in a diverse and exciting environment, which encourages creativity and innovation whilst recognising the need to support ongoing personal development and a flexible work life balance.

So, you’ll be joining us at an exciting time on our journey. We’ll look to you to share your knowledge, influence decisions and drive real, positive change. With your contributions, we’ll achieve our vision of a prosperous, revitalised Swindon together. And you’ll be proud to say it was made better with you.
