About the Role:
Joining Bath School of Art, Film & Media as our Graduate Production Coordinator, you will coordinate the production of content for Iris, Bath Spa University's in-house production facility. Based in the Film and Television subject area in Bath School of Art, Film and Media, Iris draws its talent pool from staff and students in the BA (Hons) Film, TV and Digital Production programme.
You will work closely with academic staff in the School to systematise activity for Iris, developing a programme of events and reaching out to clients to explore opportunities including studio-based work at Newton Park as well as outside broadcasting work e.g., live-streaming of major cultural events. You will also develop ideas to diversify the portfolio of Iris filming activity, which is carried out year-round (i.e. both within and outside term times), with the objective of providing students extra-curricular and value-added learning and enhancing graduate employability.
(This is an 18 Month Full Time Fixed Term Role)
About You:
You will have a strong understanding of film and television production processes to drive the growth of Iris. In this role, you will identify and establish relationships with external commercial clients, maintaining and expanding the Iris network. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with clients and academic staff to develop collaborative projects. Strong organisational and scheduling abilities are required to manage the Iris operational calendar effectively. A creative mindset is key, as you will contribute to content development alongside the Film and Television subject team and other academics within the School of Art, Film, and Media.
