Job DescriptionBerrys
At Berrys, we're all about land and property. Working from four across the Midlands, we offer an array of services - planning, architecture, building surveying, valuation and business consultancy - to help our clients make the most of their assets.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of not just planners, but heritage consultants, archaeologists, engineers and architects based in the Shrewsbury office and part of a business which is big enough for a varied range of work and opportunities but small enough to provide flexibility and a chance to really get to know everyone – expanding your skills and building new connections.
Our work ranges from applications and appeals to site promotions. Our projects span everything from self-build houses and farm buildings to urban extensions and solar farms. You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload of projects and develop specialist skills in areas you find particularly interesting.
The role will suit somebody who has recently graduated, due to graduate, or who has a few years' experience, and who is working towards their RTPI membership.
Your role will encompass research, report writing, plan preparation and the management of small applications. In addition to your own caseload of projects, you will help senior colleagues deliver larger developments.
You will have the opportunity to be in front of clients so we are looking for somebody who is calm and confident, who enjoys helping people and who understands and acts swiftly on instructions. Our clients are a diverse mix of householders, farmers, commercial and residential developers, investors and landed estates.
The role will include outdoor site visits and on-site advice, so you will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly Monday-Friday.
Closing Date: 8th May 2025
*Please note that we may close this role early, if sufficient applications are received, therefore it is recommended to apply early if you match the criteria.
