About the Role

A great opportunity to work with the Placements and Work-based Learning Team, within Careers & Employability, to support in expanding our placement offer. We recognise the importance of work experience for student development and graduate outcomes.

Being part of a growing service, we are looking to increase the variety and support on offer to make meaningful experience accessible to all students.

Ensuring placements are of a high quality, you will also be responsible for supporting our current Bath Spa Works schemes and launching a service for supporting students looking for part-time work alongside their studies. You will be actively involved in our goal to do more to recognise part-time work and the skills gained there, ultimately developing a more holistic and accessible offer.

Working with a team of Placement and Work-Based Learning Coordinators (PWBLC), as well as supporting the wider Careers & Employability Team, you will liaise with module leaders across the university to ensure quality control of placement modules and opportunities, as well as external stakeholders and wider University staff.

(This is an 18 Month Full Time Fixed Term Role)

About You

You will be well-organised with good attention to detail and have excellent communication skills. You will be able to liaise and build a rapport with a range of key stakeholders and will work well as part of a team and be a good problem-solver, thinking creatively to overcome any challenges.

You will have experience of working with CRM systems and be comfortable and open to learning new IT systems. Able to work independently and on your own initiative, you will enjoy being involved in many different projects across the department, gaining an understanding of employability within HE along with the challenges and opportunities faced.
