Graduate Manufacturing Engineer

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer required for my client based in Basildon, who specialise within testing systems for components, within a variety of industries.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will join an in-house engineering programme and assist the Mechanical and Electrical Supervisors with project planning, task setting, budget clarification, budget tracking and timesheet accuracy.

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer Position Overview

1. Shopfloor workload planning and engineering line-up scheduling.
2. Creation of machine build plans and task lists.
3. Identify and track hours spent vs budget.
4. Supporting the manufacturing projects manager with budget forecasting.
5. Ensuring accurate hours are being allocated and booked to projects.
6. Scheduling of "blue box" parts release from stores to manufacturing.

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer Position Requirements

1. Degree qualified in a relevant engineering and manufacturing subject.
2. Able to read and understand mechanical, pneumatic and electrical presentations and drawings.
3. Proficient within MS Excel and other office packages.
4. Based within a commutable distance of Basildon, Essex.
5. Full UK driving licence is preferable.

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer Position Remuneration

1. Salary - up to £25k dependent upon qualifications, skill and experience.
2. Working hours - 37.5 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays.
3. Flexible start times - Earliest start time is 7.30 am and latest start time 9.00 am, therefore earliest finish time 4.00 pm and 1.00 pm on Fridays.
4. Hybrid Working opportunities (role dependent).
5. 25 days holiday initially, then after 5 years' service 1 extra day each year up to 30 Days. 3 of these holiday days are required to be used to cover the Christmas shut-down period.
