Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to work alongside and support students during their academic careers? If so, then this Graduate Learning Support Assistant position located in a fantastic Secondary School in Brent is perfect for you! Within this role, you will become a key member of the school, supporting its students both inside and outside of the classroom. This role starts ASAP for the full academic year.

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you will be supervising and supporting pupils via person-centred and targeted support sessions that have been planned and developed by experienced subject teachers and support staff. This role can involve supporting students with SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, Hearing and Visual impairments etc.), so you will need to be an adaptable person who can tailor their approach to each student and their needs.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant: JOB SPEC

  1. Assisting students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
  2. Working alongside the class teacher and SLT to support identified students
  3. Holding 1:1 and group interventions with students
  4. At times supporting SEND students (ASD, ADHD, Hearing and Visual impairments etc.)
  5. ASAP Start - Full-time position
  6. £105 - £110 per day - Term time only
  7. Located in the borough of Ladywood

  1. Diverse and inclusive Secondary School
  2. Brilliant support staff, teachers, SENCO and SLT to work alongside
  3. Modern facilities for pupils and staff to utilise

Graduate Learning Support Assistant: APPLICANT SPEC

  1. 1ST or 2:1 in Psychology or a related course from a reputable University
  2. Have a passion for supporting young people through education
  3. Have previous experience working with SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, Visual and Hearing impairments etc.)
  4. Previous experience working with young people (Tutoring, Mentoring etc.)
  5. Perfect for those who want to become an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Therapist, Youth Worker etc.
