Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer

Salary Negotiable DOE (can be provided on request) + 10% Bonus + 7.5 hr Work Day 7 Flexitime + BUPA Healthcare + Training & Development

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer, based near Hinckley.

This role is on a permanent basis and is fully office based.

You would be joining a growing business, which has a great culture and vibrant team, working from purpose-built facilities, where you will excel in a multi-faceted role, working on a variety of civil and geotechnical projects, liaising closely with consultant engineers, architects and contractors.

The Company:

We're working with a well-established business which is currently experiencing rapid and sustained growth, manufacturing and supplying a range of advanced materials and products for use in geotechnical, civil engineering and construction projects.

This is a highly reputable SME, which has recently moved into purpose-built facilities, offering a role which enables development, in a collaborative, friendly and vibrant culture.

The Role:

This role is for someone with a degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, looking for a role which will provide ongoing training and development, to help you reach your full potential.

You will be working on a variety of technically challenging projects, with the assistance of two Senior Geotechnical Design Engineers.

1. Full product training provided, over a 3 month induction period, as well as ongoing training and development from Senior Geotechnical Engineers.
2. Produce geotechnical design calculations, drawings and relevant documents for the use of geosynthetic materials.
3. Discuss products / solutions and designs with clients, typically consultant engineers, civil engineering contractors and architects to provide technical solutions.
4. Contact consultant engineers and civil engineering contractors, with a view to gaining specifications.
5. Develop and enhance technical capabilities of the business.

The Individual:

Skills & Experience:

1. BEng or MEng in either Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
2. Ideally some post-graduate experience in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
3. Experience with AutoCAD.
