Job Title: Graduate Fashion Buyer
Location: Carlisle, CA3 8SY
Hours: 37.5 hours a week - Monday - Friday
Salary: £22,308.00 per annum (Competitive)

Our client, a national leader in the fashion retail sector, is looking for a Graduate Fashion Buyer to join their team based at the Carlisle Office. As a Graduate Buyer, your primary function is to support the buyer in the daily operational functions within your department. You will also learn to develop key cross-functional relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, and our overseas sourcing offices.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to forge a career in either buying or fashion merchandising within a head office environment. As part of an exciting and dynamic buying team, you will also have the opportunity to gain an industry-recognized qualification within your first 18 months.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the buyer covering all issues/queries.
• Work with the Buyer and production department to manage the critical path (including supporting approvals).
• Assist with Monday Trade meeting preparation.
• Sample management including general sample organization and working with suppliers and overseas offices to track samples for seasonal area meetings, web photography, organizing for meetings and sign-offs.
• Additional ad-hoc tasks.
• Responsible for sending out courier packages.
• Carrying out comparative shopping to develop and maintain knowledge of the current marketplace.
• Develop strong working relationships with, and understanding of, internal departments such as merchandising, technical, design, and marketing.
