Graduate Civil Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team. This role offers the chance to support senior colleagues in working with clients and stakeholders, including local highway authorities, to develop and promote technical solutions that facilitate development projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that solutions are informed by a thorough understanding of planning and development issues, alongside strong engineering design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supporting the assessment and appraisal of development sites for suitability.
  2. Conducting site visits to gather information and data.
  3. Commissioning, checking, and collating data from external suppliers.
  4. Developing expertise in industry software such as AutoCAD, Site 3D, MicroDrainage, and Flow.
  5. Analysing and interpreting data using mathematical techniques and specialist applications.
  6. Assisting in project delivery, including financial, programme, and resource management.
  7. Preparing planning and design packages, including reports, drawings, and analyses.
  8. Collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure high performance and innovation.

Person Specification:
  1. A demonstrable enthusiasm for Civil Engineering, with appropriate academic qualifications.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Excellent numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
  4. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
