Job description

Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a global construction consultancy who are currently seeking to recruit a knowledgeable Building Surveyor to work on a temporary project to complete building surveys for a reputable client.

This role will commence ASAP and continue through until the end of 2025. Candidates who possess knowledge or qualifications within Building Surveying will be considered the perfect applicants for this.

Options are available for candidates on PAYE or self-employed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct building surveys on properties to ensure compliance with property regulations.
  • Utilise knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) to identify and report on hazards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of survey findings, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and ensure project objectives are met by the end of 2025.
  • Access to own vehicle is essential for travel to various sites as part of the role.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience conducting stock condition surveys, ideally with knowledge of building regulations.
  • Familiarity with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, comprehensive survey records.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to manage workloads effectively and meet project deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle for site visits.
Vacancy Summary

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Salary: up to c£22 per hour D.O.E

Location: Wales – all locations considered

Job Type: Temporary ongoing for approx. 3-6 months, high potential to extend.
