Job description

GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME

The programme will provide you with an opportunity to work for a Council that is committed to supporting the development of our employees. Applications are invited from within East Dunbartonshire who possess qualifications at the required level and are aged between 16 and 24 years old (or 16-29 if disabled or care experienced) in August 2025.

Graduate Apprentice Civil Engineering (4 year fixed term) (1 post)

Based within our Road Network Operations and Technical and Engineering Services, you will be assisting with the delivery of core activities including road maintenance and road safety, street lighting, parking, traffic, flood risk management, and structures as well as the service’s emergency response to extreme weather events. As a graduate apprentice, you will undertake and work towards the attainment of a Civil Engineering BSc (Hons) Graduate Level Apprenticeship, through a range of training and University attendance.

Minimum Qualification requirements: SQA Highers: ABBB (including Maths, Physics, Technological Studies or Engineering Science at B).

Interviews are expected to be conducted in May/June 2025 with successful candidates commencing their Modern Apprenticeships in August. Applicants may be considered for other apprentice roles.
