Job description

Our Client, a leading UK consultancy providing independent, expert advice on ambient air quality, is currently seeking a Graduate Air Quality Consultant to join their team of highly skilled professionals in their new Brighton office. The company possesses a proven track record in air quality and odour assessments, delivering consultancy support to Developers, Industry, Local Authorities, and Central Government. The focus will be on the preparation of air quality assessments for planning applications and transport projects and will include collation of monitoring data, use of models, and preparation of reports suitable for submission to local authorities and developers.

Qualifications

1. BSc/MSc in a related environmental subject
2. Full driving license

Experience

1. Knowledge of air quality legislation
2. A high level of computer literacy is required, together with the ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate reports.
3. Advanced communication and customer management skills
4. Ideally proven competencies in air quality modelling and advice

Duties

1. Assessment of potential air quality pollution
2. Dust and odour impact assessments from existing and proposed sources
3. Project management on a wide range of process emissions monitoring developments
4. Supporting ongoing technical growth and development of the air quality team
5. Conducting air quality impact assessments and monitoring programmes
6. Excel based data manipulation
7. GIS work
8. Technical report writing
9. Travel to various sites
10. Produce air quality reports and prepare proposals
11. Preparation of inputs for Environmental Statements
12. Data ratification and interpretation of results

Projects

Typical projects include air quality assessments of road schemes, commercial and residential developments, industrial and odour sources, and dust impacts.
