Location: Secondary Schools in Stockport
Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £89 - £100
This role is part of a Future Teacher initiative designed for graduates looking to gain academic mentoring experience. As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you will support the academic progress of pupils while learning the intricacies of classroom management and curriculum delivery. This role provides an excellent foundation for a career in education.
Academic Support: Deliver targeted academic interventions in designated subjects, working closely with students who require extra support.
Lesson Collaboration: Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, ensuring that instructional material is accessible and engaging.
Monitoring & Reporting: Keep detailed records of student progress, offering insights and suggestions during team meetings and feedback sessions.
Mentorship: Participate in a mentorship programme with experienced teachers, gaining valuable insights into classroom management and teaching strategies.
Resource Management: Help develop and organise educational resources and materials to support effective learning.
A degree in a relevant subject area, with a demonstrated interest in educational development.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to assess student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or working with young people is an advantage.
A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and teaching challenges.
