The Role:
As a Junior / Mid Level Java/backend developer you'll be part of a collaborative engineering team building full stack applications across sectors such as healthcare, ecommerce, and manufacturing. You'll work on a range of projects using Java, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks. This is a hands-on role that offers real-world impact, technical mentoring, and the opportunity to influence product design and architecture as you grow.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop full stack web applications using Java and Node.js
2. Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces with modern JavaScript frameworks
3. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into scalable software
4. Take part in code reviews, team stand-ups, and sprint planning
5. Contribute to a positive engineering culture focused on learning, quality, and performance

Essential Criteria:

1. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. 0-2 years of commercial programming experience (placement year considered)
3. Experience with Java and/or Node.js, plus JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
4. Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies
5. A passion for learning new technologies and solving problems
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
