Job description

We are seeking a Transport Planner with at least two years of post-graduate experience to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of private sector projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative transport strategies and supporting planning applications for our clients.

They are a dynamic, growing consultancy specializing in transport planning and development. Our focus is on private sector projects, providing high-quality, client-focused solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Access Studies.
  • Conducting transport data analysis, including junction modeling (e.g., using software such as Junctions 9, LINSIG, or TRICS).
  • Engaging with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to secure project success.
  • Supporting senior team members in project management and delivery.
  • Contributing to business development through innovative ideas and client relationships.

Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a private consultancy setting.
  • Proficiency in transport modeling software (e.g., Junctions 9, LINSIG) and strong data analysis skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage workloads effectively within deadlines.
  • A genuine interest in transport planning and its role in shaping sustainable communities.
