Salary – £32,000 - £40,000 (depending on interview performance & experience)

Full Time, Permanent Role

Are you experienced in receptor pharmacology with hands-on expertise in designing and running biochemical and cellular assays? We have an exciting opportunity to join a drug discovery company in Nottingham, supporting diverse client projects in cutting-edge drug discovery programs.

Applicants must have current UK work eligibility.

The Role

As a Scientist within the receptor pharmacology team, you will be responsible for:

  • Design and perform in vitro assays to study molecular interactions and signalling.
  • Provide high-quality data to support drug discovery projects.
  • Manage experiments and help train junior team members.
  • Work closely with clients and the team to solve complex research problems.
  • Contribute to research publications and present findings at scientific meetings.

Current / Recent Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • PhD or BSc / MSc with at least 4 years of professional experience in receptor pharmacology.
  • Expertise in GPCR binding and pharmacology techniques, including binding assays, SPR assays, radioligand binding, reporter gene assays, luciferase reporter assay, β-galactosidase reporter assay.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques – such as mammalian cell culture, western blotting, and flow cytometry.

Profile Required:

  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • Happy to commute / relocate to Nottingham (essential).
