Job summary
Cobbs Garden Surgery is looking to recruit either a GP partner or a salaried GP, with a view to partnership, to join our practice on either a full or part time basis.
We are looking for someone who wants to develop their role in the daily clinical management of our varied clinical team to provide a caring and professional service to our predominantly older population. You will be a valued and integral part of team helping shape the future of the team, practice and care provided.
The practice population is expanding because of new developments in the town and villages we serve which will see our list size grow from just under 9,000 patients to around 12,000 over the next few years.
We are flexible on start dates, prioritising finding the right candidate who aligns with our values.
Main duties of the job
- deal with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting (face to face, telephone, via online messages and video consultations)
- support clinical colleagues in ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients
- contribute to planning and decision-making as part of the practice team, including MDT meetings
- be involved in all aspects of care, supported by a skilled clinical and administration team.
About us
Why should you join our team at Cobbs Garden Surgery?
- Our practice is based in Olney, a beautiful market town in north Buckinghamshire and we also serve the surrounding villages
- We provide a traditional family doctor service in a friendly and efficient way
- We are innovative, forward-thinking and embrace change
- We are planning on building a new and much larger surgery on a plot we have secured which will allow us to provide an increased number of services including outreach consultant clinics
- We have a range of very experienced clinicians including practice nurses, minor illness nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, a physiotherapist, HCAs and a social prescriber who take a lot of work from the GPs
- We have a culture of teamwork, with all departments supporting each other. Much of the administration function is carried out by our reception and administration team so GPs can delegate and concentrate on what you were trained to do
- We embrace new ways of working and welcome ideas to change the way our clinicians work, to bring more variety into their days
- We pride ourselves on having good patient access figures and always score very highly in patient surveys
- Our current CQC rating is good with an outstanding rating for responsive
- We have a higher percentage of older population whom whilst complex, are appreciative of good care.
