Job description

Land App is a digital mapping platform at the forefront of revolutionising land management in the UK. Having recently secured funding, we're in a pivotal growth phase. But we’re more than just a tech company — our vision is to make sustainable land management the global norm.

What's the real world challenge we’re trying to solve?

From climate change to deforestation to sustainable food production, many of the major challenges facing our generation revolve around how land is used and managed.

Where does Land App come in?

Land App was founded to tackle these issues. Bringing together data, advice and incentives in a cloud-based platform. Land App empowers people with tools to map their land, apply for funding opportunities and connect to a sector-wide network of support, helping them make informed decisions for sustainable land use.

About the role

Role: Go-to Market Lead

Team: Go-to-Market

Employment Type: Permanent- Full time

Reports to: Growth Director

Location: UK. Remote with visits to our Bristol office once per week. Business travel to meet customers as needed.

We’re hiring our first ever Go-to-Market Lead, to help us unlock our next level of growth. Leading our Sales, Account Management & Customer Success teams, your first priority is to get hands-on and galvanise the team with a clear GTM strategy for Land App, our SaaS subscription product. You’ll scale our real-world impact by increasing subscriptions, reducing churn and growing our customer base - first in the UK and next across the globe.

You’ll be responsible for

  1. Revenue growth: Drive recurring revenue by optimising our subscription model and sales processes, leveraging our existing engaged audience of over 30,000 contacts as a warm pipeline for growth.
  2. Team leadership: Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture amongst the team, so they’re supported, motivated, developing and delivering against commercial targets.
  3. Sales strategy and execution: Lead high-value sales efforts, working closely with Marketing & Product to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
  4. Market expansion: Drive user adoption across sectors in the UK, analysing the market and creating a use case for future global expansion.
  5. HubSpot management: Own and refine our HubSpot sales architecture, reporting, and pipeline prioritisation in partnership with Marketing.
  6. Data-driven decision making: Analyse trends and sales metrics to make informed decisions on company and team performance.
  7. Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with Marketing and Product to align messaging, create impactful sales materials, and enhance customer engagement.
  8. Client relationships: Host in-person meetings with key clients and strategic partners, strengthening relationships and driving conversion.
  9. Performance tracking: Define success metrics, track KPIs (e.g., New Net Subs, Churn %, ARPU), and continuously optimise based on data-driven insights.

About you

We want to hear from you if you:

  1. Have GTM experience in a SaaS/B2B organisation: you’ve led on a Go-To-Market strategy in a business with £1-3m ARR.
  2. Lead high performing teams: you’ve led a sales team within a Tech, SaaS, or climate business, driving both incremental sales and team engagement.
  3. Have worked in a scaling start-up: you’re familiar with the growing pains of a scaling Tech start-up and are ready to iterate on sales processes to drive the next growth phase.
  4. Can flex from strategic thinking to hands-on operations: you can balance big-picture strategy with tactical execution. You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and proactively support the team if it moves the needle on our GTM strategy.
  5. Understand subscription-based revenue models: you can strategise on customer retention and GTM initiatives based on previous subscription/SaaS sales experience.
  6. Have Hubspot experience: you know your way around Hubspot and can optimise it for sales funnel management, SQLs, MQLs, and reporting.
  7. Are a natural relationship builder: you establish credibility with clients, partners, and internal teams effortlessly.
  8. Have a data-driven mindset: you use metrics to drive decisions and continuously improve sales performance.
  9. Are proactive and accountable: you take initiative, own your decisions, and move the needle on results.
  10. Have a land sector background: you have experience in rural, farming or environmental sectors that helps you build trust and credibility with our customers.
  11. Have a track record of developing teams: you’ve line managed teams to successful outcomes, your direct reports have grown via your coaching, goal setting and mentoring.
  12. Are tech savvy: you understand tech stacks, APIs and AI-driven sales efficiency tools.

It’s probably not the right fit if:

  1. You prefer a highly structured corporate environment: we’re a scaling startup, and agility is key.
  2. You aren’t comfortable rolling up your sleeves: this role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  3. You want to focus purely on new business development: this role is just as much about retention and driving long-term value as it is about new sales.

Important note: This role is open for those eligible to live and work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position.

What’s in it for you?
