Position: Gluer Machine Operator

Schedule: Monday-Friday Double Days - 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Location: Essex (Commutable from Braintree, Witham, Chelmsford, Basildon, Wickford, Harlow, Brentwood)

Salary: £32,000 + Overtime

Benefits: 9% Private Pension, Life Assurance X4, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a larger group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry-leading standards. Due to further investment in the site, they are looking for an experienced Gluer Machine Operator to join their production team.

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the manufacture of quality packaging to high print specifications.
2. Operate a multi-point gluer machine.
3. Machine setting both via a computer and manually.
4. Check print quality and ensure the product is made correctly.
5. Clean and maintain machinery.
6. Minimise downtime by forward planning to ensure materials are available.
7. Maintain records and complete quality reports.
8. Take dimensional measurements to ensure they meet product specifications.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

1. Must be an experienced machine operator and setter.
2. Previously worked in a manufacturing sector.
3. Good team player, able to work on own initiative and part of a team.
4. Knowledge of health & safety and quality control.
5. Good attention to detail when checking dimensions and product specifications.
6. Forklift Licence would be beneficial.
7. Need to be physically fit.
8. Good computer skills - use of systems and completing paperwork.
9. Ideally have experience of basic machine maintenance.
10. Strong organisational skills.
