About the role

You will manage the supply planning to achieve defined metrics in stock availability and inventory management. You will continually work to improve supplier performance, stock turn performance and slow moving stock holding. Working with key stakeholders across the business to support business objectives and projects (inc NPD launches) whilst balancing supply chain objectives at all times is also key to being successful in the role. Reporting into Global Planning Supply Manager you will:

  1. Oversee weekly planning process to ensure orders are placed to support service levels targets and in line with optimal order volumes.
  2. Ensure monthly inventory dashboards are completed and circulated to management and executive teams. Complete commentary of forecasted inventory levels versus budget values. Continue to work on initiatives to reduce inventory levels.
  3. Partner with key suppliers on OTIF, continuous improvement and ways of working to drive efficiencies. Support Gift programs by ensuring material availability for packing plan.
  4. Support with continuous improvement initiatives for supplier performance, stock management, process and systems to develop efficiencies and support the future growth of the Company.
  5. Identify and develop links with key stakeholders to ensure business and functional objectives are aligned.
  6. Work with NPD process to ensure on time delivery and develop launch plans that balance responsiveness with stock holding objectives.
  7. Work with Finance Team to establish effective provisions meeting to ensure obsolete stock for write off is identified and root cause analysis completed to take learnings into future planning.
  8. Support the Company's Precious Recipe and to demonstrate this through the overall approach to the role and other people both within and outside of the Company.
  9. Solely responsible for decisions concerning the delivery of goods from the portfolio of vendors selected for this position.

What you’ll need to have

  1. Ideally educated to a degree level or Equivalent
  2. Supply Chain management qualification or Equivalent
  3. Proven track record in a planning role in FMCG environment or similar
  4. Demonstrable experience of strategic inventory management
  5. Broad knowledge of the supply chain function
  6. Proven experience in the delivery of supply management initiatives
  7. Supplier management expertise
  8. Previous experience of the business environment seen as an advantage
  9. Previous experience of people management
  10. Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  11. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  12. Innovative approach to problem-solving
