Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

Siemens Industry Software has a new opportunity for two Interns to join us on a 13-month paid placement starting in July 2024 to support our Global Team.

Initially during the 2–3-month onboarding period, the Sales Operations Support & Communications Intern will be fully based in one of our UK offices Monday to Friday. Once the onboarding period has ended and based on manager discretion, voluntary hybrid working with a weekly maximum of working 2 days from home will be an option for the remainder of the placement period.

This position is an exciting chance for someone to network frequently between senior business leaders, the Siemens worldwide organization and supporting the execution of our go-to-market strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Support internal Operations projects.
  • Handle and drive personal projects to completion.
  • Develop, run, and maintain Internal Sharepoint sites.
  • Development & maintenance of apps using platforms such as Power Apps.
  • Video content editing and video voiceover work in line with Siemens brand guidelines.
  • Handling internal communications such as regular newsletters.
  • Supporting and running logistics for global team meetings/calls.
  • Developing/designing and collating information from internal surveys.
  • Assist in providing reports for our Product Portfolios to be reviewed by senior leadership.

What you will bring:

  • Driven and proactive/self-starting attitude.
  • Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and creative approach to communication.
  • Strong, polished oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present to large and small audiences and provide status updates on a regular basis.
  • Work effectively with Sharepoint, MS Power Apps and Microsoft Teams (training will be provided).
  • MS Office skills including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Forms and Stream.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of Camtasia or similar video editing tools is a plus.
  • Willingness and interest to understand and solve business problems.
  • Eagerness and ability to learn new software and tools.
  • Understanding of Software Sales and/or Software companies would be a plus.
