Job title: Global Testing & Laboratories Director, Product Certification.
Reports to: Group Director, Product Certification
Location: UK, between laboratories in Hemel Hempstead and Loughborough
(On-site attendance at each laboratory is required weekly. This is a full-time on-site position.)

The Purpose of the Role:

You can be part of leading that work as our Global Testing & Laboratories Director, leading the enablement of our clients to get products to market and comply with the latest requirements with comprehensive testing and certification.

The Successful Applicant will:

• Have considerable experience in managing testing laboratories (labs), including maintenance and health & safety in lab environments.
• Be an experienced project manager with a broad technical understanding of industry/products testing.
• Have strong, motivational, and pro-active people leadership skills & a proven track record of coaching & managing senior technical teams.
• Be experienced in managing profit & loss ledgers.
• Be a strategic thinker with a commercial perspective & improvement-focused approach.
• Work with a full, clear digitisation agenda.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Lead & manage all testing, maintenance & calibration experts. Support teams to ensure compliant delivery & the meeting of regulatory & accreditation obligations.
• Provide strategic & tactical advice & support to the business unit (BU). Develop & deliver against robust resource plans.
• Drive innovation & the use of the latest technologies. Oversee the development & continual improvement of the BU.
• Set, review & report on KPIs, manage P&L.
• Collaborate on new projects to build CAPEX/OPEX.
