As DWF continues to grow and expand we are seeking a skilled and experienced Global Payroll Manager to join our company. The Global Payroll Manager will oversee international payroll activities including managing payroll opportunities across many countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all aspects of the payroll administration.
Your role will also give you the opportunity to drive continuous improvement, new implementation and further development of payroll systems across the business.
The Global Payroll Manager role is based in Manchester with a hybrid working pattern of two days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Global Payroll Management: Oversee all aspects of payroll processing for employees across multiple countries, ensuring employees are paid correctly and in a timely way.
- Compliance: Working closely with our internal finance and tax teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with all relevant international payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements in each jurisdiction where the company operates.
- Development: Work closely with the IT and Finance teams to implement new processes and develop new payroll systems across the global regions. Establishing the necessary policies for global payroll operations to comply with local and international laws.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve payroll processes and systems to streamline operations, enhance accuracy, and optimize efficiency.
- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with payroll service providers and other third-party vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to SLAs.
- Team Coordination: Leading and coordinating the payroll team to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines as well as providing the right level of service to our global colleagues when they have queries.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the wider HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy of payroll data and processes.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate and evaluate payroll reports to provide insights into payroll costs, trends, and variances, supporting decision-making and strategic planning.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to payroll, ensuring compliance and accuracy of payroll records and processes.
- Payroll System Maintenance: Working closely with our HR Digital team to ensure the payroll system is up-to-date, secure, and functioning properly.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to payroll team members and other stakeholders on payroll policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Staying Informed: Keeping up to date with changes in payroll-related legislation and technology to ensure compliance and efficiency.

- CPP qualified.
- Experience at implementing new payroll solutions/systems.
- Managing a team in a matrix environment and remote management experience.
- Experience in working with ADP.
