What You’ll Do

To realize our digital transformation, we need to transform our products, experiences, processes, technology and how we operate. We are looking for people who are passionate about Agile ways of working. As a solution architect, you will define and design technology solutions that optimize our solutions for rapid innovation while managing risks such as cyber security and operational resilience. You will bridge enterprise architecture and engineering, owning the design of multiple services, products, and solutions within the Knowledge & Design tribe. You will document architecture views, enable teams to maximize automation in the deployment pipeline, and participate in architecture proof of concepts and innovation initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

Education and Certifications: BA/MS degree in computer or information sciences or similar field; IT Architect certification: AWS Certified Solution Architect required, Open Group certification preferred.

Essential Experience & Job Requirements:

1. 10+ years of experience designing and implementing business-critical applications.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience as a software developer, preferably in multitenant/SaaS projects.
3. Work experience as a Solutions Architect in at least one project.
4. Critical thinking and analytical skills to address complex technical challenges.
5. Experience in conducting technical assessments and feasibility studies.
6. Advanced expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
7. Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Typescript, Java).
8. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices.
9. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
10. Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.

Who You’ll Work With

The IT Solution Architect is a position within the Knowledge & Design tribe, part of BCG’s digital products organization. The role reports directly to the Solution Architecture Chapter Lead located in Boston, USA.
