Job description

Job Title – Global Contract Manager

Department/Sector – Logistics

Job Location – London

Salary – £60k

Our client is recruiting a new global contract manager to take responsibility to manage and maintain our clients existing relationships with vendors, involving all aspects of their provision, from adherence to SLAs, contractual compliance and ongoing financial viability.

You will also be involved with sourcing and screening potential new vendors and their integration into the clients existing network.

As Global Contract Manager you be responsible for ensuring vendors provide customers with the service they have become accustomed to.

This role has management responsibility for the entire vendor network, but is primarily concerned with the day-to-day operations of all non-UK vendors.

The role carries ultimate responsibility for all aspects of service delivery from vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all aspects of vendor performance
  • Supporting the Head of Networks to establish new “Networks” model
  • Designing the process/template for roll-out in new cities moving forwards.
  • Market research within new geographical areas
  • Measure and monitors vendor performance, adherence to contract terms and conditions
  • Completes the vendor risk assessment
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting service-related issues and escalations
  • Working with the Pricing, Account Management and IT departments
  • Continuously review SLAs for vendors to ensure maximum delivery of standards
  • Ensure any vendor disputes are resolved efficiently with little impact on service levels
  • You will build strong relationships and facilitate discussions with vendors to increase
  • Analyse customer data, as well as competitors and the market segment in general
  • You will support the promotional strategy for your vendors
  • Deliver compelling offers to customers that drive profitable growth.

Key Skills/Experience Needed:

  • A candidate who is confident with data and an effective report-writer
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Highly organised and efficient, possessing the ability to multi-task
  • Strong experience in contract, commercial or vendor management
  • End-to-end procurement experience with strong negotiation experience
  • Experience in maintaining vendor management governance (ideally in a global capacity)
  • A knowledge of the taxi, transport, courier or logistics industries would be an advantage, but not essential
