In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the design and policy development of our Business Travel Tax Program across various regions. Reporting directly to the EMEA Business Travel Tax Program Lead, you will oversee program activities within the EMEA region and collaborate with a diverse array of stakeholders. As a Global Business Travel Tax Associate in our Global Mobility function, you will play a key role in refining our tax reporting and withholding processes for employees traveling on behalf of the firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale Business Travel Tax Program, working within a dynamic and globally diverse team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of regional business travel compliance requirements to inform policy recommendations.
  • Coordinate program delivery, including process, policy, reporting, and technology, with regional lead support.
  • Facilitate annual enrollment in the Business Travel Tax Program for the region.
  • Develop and deliver training materials for participants, HR, and business stakeholders.
  • Build effective partnerships with global team members to meet deliverables, including assessing requests, payroll processing, and tax return filing.
  • Participate in implementation of global initiatives for the team, including project management.
  • Collaborate with Change Management and Communications teams to enhance user experience.
  • Partner with Employment and Corporate Tax colleagues to approve tax positions for extended business travel cases.
  • Work with external advisors for tax advice on new interpretations and tool upgrades.
  • Address queries around program and policy from employees and other HR stakeholders.
  • Support travel reviews and clarify tax technical positions for business travelers to Germany.
  • Analyze business travel to high-risk locations in EMEA and support ad hoc project deliverables.
  • Evaluate processes to incorporate efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in HR tax, payroll, or operations.
  • Exposure to executing globally consistent processes and projects for high-volume programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and analyze complex data.
  • Attention to detail and ability to resolve outstanding issues promptly.
  • Data literacy and strategic thinking skills to identify and address issues and opportunities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of project management with a good understanding of the project management lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for engaging with senior employees and all levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with global mobility and tax compliance.
  • Familiarity with business travel tax programs and related policies.
