BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW

Margin, Collateral Valuations Operations (MCVO) sits within the Goldman Sachs Global Market Operations organization comprising of Collateral Management (Cleared and Uncleared), Portfolio Reconciliation, and Margin Lending. The primary objective of the department is the mitigation of counterparty credit risk through the active monitoring of clients’ portfolios. The London MCVO team works closely with teams in New York, Bengaluru, Singapore, Warsaw & Salt Lake City.

Products supported include foreign exchange, commodities, credit, equity, interest rate, repurchase transactions, and bespoke structured derivatives. The team manages a wide range of complex processes, with members developing skills and competencies around derivative & security products and their respective business areas, legal agreements, technology flows, and regulations.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with Excel macros and other functions.
  • Good working knowledge of product flows and systems, including OTC derivatives.
  • Understanding of financial markets and trade life cycle.
  • Lead by example to challenge status quo.
  • Solid work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to synthesize information to identify risk hotspots.
  • Prior experience with the Margin Lending business.
  • Experience working within Financial Services with exposure to Over the Counter Derivatives.

Languages will be beneficial as the Analyst will be interacting with clients from across Europe.
