Team/Role Overview

SMBF Services Production management are recruiting an experienced Global Application Support Senior Group Manager for our Trade and Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) business area. Our production teams are an integral part of the Services Client Experience, we are seeking an individual with a proven track record leading Global Production teams, with a passion for continual improvement and who strives to instills a culture of low touch, highly resilient engineering led outcomes. You will be well versed in all manner of Production management practices (Operational, Resiliency & Recoverability, Change + Release Transition), Risk Management, SRE and a strong appreciation for informing your leadership, influence and management of day to day activities to ensure adherence to minimum operating and supportability standards.


The position demands a comprehensive understanding of how the sub-function contributes to achieving the broader objectives of Citi's Services business. As part of the Services Production leadership team, you will also play a key role contributing to and delivering the broader team strategy, supporting improvement initiatives, employee engagement, talent development, diversity & inclusion.


What you'll do

  • Maintaining the highest levels of stability, resiliency & prevention for TWCS and/or dependencies others have on your services. Including participation in Incidents leading & guiding to swift recovery.
  • Collaborating with senior management across technology, operations, and business teams to develop & drive actionable outcomes for Production.
  • Drive a high bar for Production Change Readiness & control adherence. Ensure supportability, sustainability & resiliency is at the forefront of technical changes to your portfolio.
  • Provide technical leadership in adoption of standard production tools for the TWCS application's (monitoring/observability, capacity, resiliency, recoverability & automation improvements)
  • Proactive assessment & management of dominant L1, L2 & L3 workload drivers, keeping abreast of emerging trends and devising plans to address degradations.
  • Drive engineering led solutions from teams to achieve attainment of the least human intervention.
  • Strong SLA / Performance measurement and management in respect of diverse production insights, understanding emerging trends and setting clear goals & objectives for improvement.
  • Build & maintain strong understanding for Trade & Working Capital Solutions base product functionality and business requirements.
  • People management, including talent development, performance evaluation, reward & recognition. Strong vendor engagement / partnership to achieve the highest levels of service.
  • TWCS Production budget & staffing, employing commercially minded decision making to improve TCO.

  • Experience managing distributed teams and familiarity with relevant technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases, middleware, programming languages and operating systems.
