Job Description:

This position will operate on a remote, freelance basis. To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be located in the UK.

GIVEMESPORT.COM is looking for a Freelance Social Media Specialist to help with the day-to-day operations of the GIVEMESPORT channels on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X.

In the fast-paced environment of professional sports and entertainment, you will be required to stay on top of trends, create images, and post highly relevant and topical football content in line with our brand and values.

Expectations:

1. Establish graphic branding for multiple social media pages
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create social media strategy and oversee the execution of that strategy
3. Brainstorm or identify daily ideas for posts to generate engagement
4. Cover high-profile football events and create engaging posts that capitalize on key opportunities
5. Support the editorial team by creating graphics as requested
6. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the sports publishing landscape
7. Source and post relevant compelling video content across multiple social channels
8. Execute paid social initiatives as instructed by the management team
9. Analyze best-performing and worst-performing content to identify key trends
10. Leverage social media marketing tools to manage and monitor the effectiveness of various campaigns

What we’re looking for:

1. Proven experience working with a sports brand’s Facebook page
2. Experience creating and executing effective posts for all major social media platforms is a plus (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok etc.)
3. Experience creating images (strong Adobe Photoshop skills and ability to create graphics quickly is required)
4. Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere is considered a plus
5. A passion for and up-to-date understanding of football is required
6. Video experience preferred
7. Willingness to work weekends
8. Must be located in the UK
9. Work on a shift basis (about 10 to 15 shifts per month)
