Position Overview

Duration: 12-month fixed-term contract
Location: Manchester
Experience: 1-2 years (energy projects preferred)
Salary: £38,000 per annum

Job Description

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you'll play a key role in our diverse range of projects, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in renewable energy and modern infrastructure. Here’s what you will get involved with:

1. Site Investigation: Lead and conduct thorough site investigations, ensuring all data collected supports project integrity and sustainability.
2. Technical Analysis: Utilize cutting-edge tools to analyze geological data and help craft innovative solutions for complex geotechnical problems.
3. Design Input: Assist in the design process for new structures, focusing on sustainability and efficiency from the ground up.
4. Collaboration and Leadership: Work alongside a team of inspired professionals who are as eager as you are to transform the engineering landscape.
5. Risk Assessment: Proactively identify potential geotechnical risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
6. Communication: Articulate complex geotechnical concepts and solutions to stakeholders and team members alike.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience in geotechnical engineering, with a preference for backgrounds in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
3. A knack for problem-solving and a keen analytical mind.
4. Proficiency in relevant engineering software.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
6. Right to work in the UK.
