A specialist geotechnical design consultancy based in Yorkshire is seeking an experienced geotechnical designer to join their team on a variety of exciting residential projects around the UK. With only a small team, focused support to chartership, and an abundance of projects to work on, this is a great opportunity to progress your skills and develop your career.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop ground models and design structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles, and reinforced soil slopes on a range of residential and commercial projects.
2. Conduct ground movement assessments.
3. Train junior members of the team.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Experience as a Geotechnical Design Engineer, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics and experience using software such as AutoCAD, Excel, Alp, PDisp, Rocscience Slide, ADC Adsec, Oasys Pile, and WALLAP.
2. A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (with a geotechnical focus), or similar (MSc preferred).
3. A full and clean UK Driving Licence.
4. Be commutable to Yorkshire and the surrounding area.
5. Have a full right to work in the UK.
