About the Role

You will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance to be proactive and independent, while simultaneously being a strong team player. Good management skills, and a strong understanding with experience in the industry are vital in order to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

1. You will be responsible for delivering ground investigation and geotechnical services to a wide range of sectors including major infrastructure for highways and rail, nuclear, new build, onshore and offshore energy and environmental.
2. Confident and knowledgeable of ground investigation techniques.
3. Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site works phase, as well as assisting with managing the Health & Safety of operatives and promoting a safe working environment.
4. Responsible for the planning, supervision and programming of Ground Investigation projects at locations throughout the United Kingdom.
5. Logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with the specification and BS5930:2015+A1:2020.
6. Keeping accurate field records of tasks performed.
7. Act as a Site Agent or a support role, supervising multiple activities and staff for short and longer term projects.
8. Performing in-situ testing and sampling in accordance with the specification and current technical standards.
9. Liaise with Clients / Engineers / Main Contractors throughout the site works phase.
10. Managing and collating site data using company software systems.
11. Assist in the compilation of monthly financial project accounts.
12. Be able to write factual reports.
13. Carry out work in accordance with company Health and Safety rules.
14. Have a minimum level of fitness required to undertake all site based tasks listed above on a variety of sites including active construction sites and linear projects for roads and railways.

Qualifications: - Geology or Environmental Degree or similar

Required: - minimum of 2-4 years experience
