The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Geography teacher who is passionate about working with students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing challenging behaviour and a strong understanding of Autism. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Geography lessons that inspire and motivate students, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and challenging behaviour.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and development of all students.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Geography, preferably within an SEN setting.
• Strong understanding of Autism and strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
