An established secondary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department. Your new company
This secondary school is based in the Preston (PR1) area and due to an upcoming term of leave, they have approached Hays seeking a Geography Teacher to start in September and continue long-term, potentially for the full academic year. This school is easily accessible and has a well-established Humanities department with excellent facilities and significant support.
Your new role
Joining the Humanities department following the Summer Break, you will be responsible for teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. You will work closely with other department colleagues developing resources and lesson planning as a team. You will plan and prepare lessons, deliver these creating a positive learning environment and you will also mark and assess pupils' work. Due to this being a long-term assignment, you will be required to attend parents' evenings and additional school functions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have experience teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4. You will be available following the Summer Break and able to commit to the school and the high standards that they expect from their staff.
