The Role

The successful candidate will:

1. Teach engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
2. Deliver a curriculum that explores both physical and human geography, including climate change, ecosystems, urban development, and global interdependence.
3. Prepare students for success at GCSE and A-Level, with a focus on critical thinking, data analysis, and fieldwork skills.
4. Promote a love of geographical enquiry through the use of current events, real-world case studies, and interactive resources.
5. Support and lead field trips, excursions, and in-school geography enrichment activities.
6. Use data and assessments effectively to support student progress and differentiate learning.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality schemes of work and share best practices.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

1. Hold QTS/QTLS with a specialism in Geography or a related subject.
2. Have experience teaching Geography up to A-Level with a strong record of student achievement.
3. Be passionate about geography and the role it plays in shaping young people's understanding of the world.
4. Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging.
5. Be a team player, committed to continuous improvement and student success.
