About the Role:

The Education Network is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join our forward-thinking and supportive teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Geography, the ability to make the subject engaging and relevant, and a commitment to developing students' understanding of the world. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals.

As a Geography Teacher at The Education Network, you will have the opportunity to inspire students at key stages KS3 and KS4 and make a real impact on their learning experience. You will work closely with colleagues to create a stimulating, student-centered learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Geography lessons that foster curiosity and a deep understanding of the subject.
  2. Teach students across key stages 3 and 4 and ensure that lessons are accessible and challenging.
  3. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them reach their potential.
  4. Contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum, ensuring it is current, diverse, and inclusive.
  5. Support students in developing their geographical inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Participate in extracurricular activities and field trips to further enrich students' geographical learning.
  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.

About You:

  1. A qualified Geography Teacher with experience teaching at secondary school level (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  2. A passion for Geography and the ability to inspire students with your subject knowledge and enthusiasm.
  3. Strong classroom management skills and a proactive approach to teaching.
  4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  5. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
  6. A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
