Geo-environmental consultant

Due to continued growth, my client is looking to grow their geo-environmental consultancy division.

In this role you will:

1. Become part of a close-knit and dynamic team focused on delivering excellent results for clients;
2. Discover the fundamentals of the geo-environmental industry, including contaminated land risk assessment and geotechnical design;
3. Be given the chance to learn and develop professionally in a practical, hands-on manner in both the office and our sites across the UK;
4. Participate in a variety of challenging and innovative projects across residential, commercial, and civil engineering industries, including having opportunities to manage projects through the entire life-cycle of a construction programme.

The ideal individual for this role will be:

1. Confident working in a team and independently;
2. Self-motivated and proactive, with demonstrable energy, drive, and enthusiasm;
3. Willing to develop their proficiency in fieldwork techniques, production and management of data, and both factual and interpretative reporting;
4. Able to apply a commercial appraisal to projects, ensuring that value for money is paramount in all work undertaken.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

1. Co-ordination, supervision, and management of ground investigations, including Phase 1 (desk-top) studies, Phase 2 (intrusive) investigations, and subsequent monitoring and remediation works;
2. Understanding geotechnical / geological and environmental aspects.
