Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science teacher who enjoys inspiring young people to explore the world around them?

We are seeking a dynamic General Science Teacher to join a successful and supportive Science department at a lovely school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong foundation in scientific understanding. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

1. Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across KS3 and KS4
2. Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum and exam board requirements
3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
4. Track student progress and support those who need additional guidance or challenge
5. Contribute to the development of resources and schemes of work within the department
6. Participate in school activities, enrichment events and CPD opportunities
7. Uphold the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

Ideal General Science Teacher:

1. Holds QTS (or is working towards it) and a relevant science degree
2. Has sound knowledge of the secondary science curriculum
3. Is a confident and adaptable classroom practitioner
4. Has strong communication and organisational skills as a General Science Teacher
5. Is passionate about science education and pupil progress
6. Works well in a team and values collaborative working
