Job description

Duties as General Science Teacher:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  2. Teach a combination of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  3. Develop students’ understanding of scientific concepts and practical skills.
  4. Encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  5. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  6. Use experiments, technology, and real-world examples to enhance learning.
  7. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the science curriculum.
  8. Contribute to extracurricular activities such as science clubs and trips.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  1. Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Has experience teaching science in a primary/secondary school setting.
