General Manager - Up to 47k + Bonus - Modern British Gastro Pub - Islington

The Peacock in Angel is looking to bring in an ambitious and personality led General Manager to drive the business forward. With an all-day food offer focusing on premium quality, seasonality and sharing dishes - from small plates to hearty gastropub classics - while weekends are all about Saturday brunch and stunning Sunday roasts. Behind the bar you'll find the best of London's craft beer scene, classic cocktails, small-batch gins and artisan wines.

Located opposite Angel tube station, we're the perfect spot to unwind, have a few pints, a quick bite, or dinner with friends and family.

The Role

• As GM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business.
• Being business savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must.
• Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
• You have impeccable floor, bar and service experience.

What we are looking for:

• Wear your heart on your sleeve, take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own
• Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
• You're not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done
• Must have minimum 2 years' experience as a general manager depending on the property being looked at
• Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable
• Excellent all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
• Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
• Personal License holder beneficial
