General Manager - Plumbing and Heating

£60k-£70k Basic Salary (depending on experience) + Company Car/or Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Location - Woking / Surrey

Alecto Recruitment Ltd are looking for an experienced and motivated General Manager to join an established client of ours within the plumbing, heating and renewable energy industry on a full-time permanent basis.

Job Summary:

1. Leadership and Management: Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Manage and mentor staff, ensuring high performance and professional development.
2. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. Implement and maintain best practices and operational procedures.
3. Sales and Business Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth. Identify new business opportunities and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
4. Financial Management: Manage budgets, financial planning, and reporting. Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to achieve financial targets.
5. Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
6. Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
7. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Skills Required:

1. Proven experience as either a General Manager, Operations Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
2. Experience within the plumbing and heating industry, or heat pump industry.
3. Ideally with technical knowledge and industry qualifications such as NVQ or equivalent in plumbing etc.
4. Preferably with experience dealing with new build developers, homeowners/residential housing or housing developers.
5. Strong business acumen and management skills.
