General Manager - Operations

Location: Wandsworth, Energy business - £60,000 - £63,000

Your new company: A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced operations professional to work as General Manager for a boutique Energy business in the Southwest London area, managing a small but friendly team. The organisation is keen for an enthusiastic, experienced people manager with commercial acumen and ideally industry experience, to help support on all operational matters. This role is a permanent position which will initially be fully on-site with hybrid working available after probation.

Your new role:

Your new position will be customer focused with duties including:

  1. Managing and developing office-based staff (team of 6).
  2. Liaising on operational matters with financial institutions.
  3. Working closely with subcontractors and 3rd party suppliers to ensure all operational processes are run efficiently.
  4. Reviewing and distributing monthly reports to clients.
  5. Responding and liaising on legal matters with solicitors.
  6. Extracting operational data from CRM systems to maintain product performance.
  7. Identifying and supporting new client acquisitions and sales opportunities within existing relationships.
What you'll need to succeed:

To be successful, you will have:

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in operational management.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Staff management experience.
  4. Experience using Salesforce/CRM.
  5. Some knowledge of contract law.
  6. Ideally experience within Energy/Engineering sectors.
What you'll get in return:

In return, you'll be offered a competitive salary of between £60,000 - £63,000 depending on experience to start in April/May 2025. Benefits include:

  1. Company pension.
  2. Private medical after probation.
  3. Hybrid working after probation (3 days in the office and 2 at home).
  4. Annual bonus of up to 10% of basic salary.
  5. Holidays of 23 plus bank holidays, increasing with service up to 28, plus closure between Christmas and New Year.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm but if you wish to have a shorter lunch an earlier finish may be possible.
