Job description

A large Car Manufacturer is now looking for a General Manager in Distribution.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a Graduate calibre.
  2. 5 years experience in logistics management role.
  3. Customer Management at a level.
  4. Experienced Change Manager (At least 1 Major Project Delivered).
  5. Succession planning & development of manager’s.
  6. IT literate.
  7. Finance/Profit & Loss Management.
  8. Project Management.
  9. Min 3 years Manufacturing logistics experience.
  10. People Leadership.
  11. Commercial Acumen.
  12. Negotiating and Contracting.
  13. Identifying key issues and priorities.
  14. Leading and Managing Change.
  15. Business English.
  16. Achieving results in complex/ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maximise the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, and a motivated workforce.
  2. Work in partnership with the customer and formulate relationships within the customer network.
  3. Integrate new working patterns to effect continuous improvement and demonstrate effective communications with employees, Trade Unions, and the customer base.
  4. Manage a diverse team to fulfil business requirements and prioritise effectively to meet customer targets and volumes.
  5. React to changes in volumes as outlined by the customer master schedule and manage the effects of New Model introduction on workforce flexibility.
  6. Ensure that the P & L data is controlled to the expectation level as deemed by the contract with the customer and contribute to the broader commercial environment.
