General Manager 5 - Environmental Services / Custodial

We are seeking a Director of Environmental Services at both Penn State Health Holy Spirit and Penn State Health Hampden. This role will oversee a team of 90 employees. Prior Environmental Services/housekeeping experience is required, must be results-driven, understand employee engagement, and be committed to a winning culture. The successful candidate will have experience with bed tracking, patient satisfaction, and possess strong computer skills. Sodexo is seeking a true self-starter who can lead a team under minimal supervision.

What You Bring

• Experience leading and managing a team and developing and motivating a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a healthcare housekeeping system;
• Experience driving customer service and/or guest satisfaction results in a healthcare environment is preferred;
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
• Ability to analyze data, present, and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees, and change management;
• Experience effectively managing projects within agreed-upon timelines;
• Results and safety-driven;
• In-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures;
• Experience improving patient satisfaction and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state, and Joint Commission standards;
• 5 years previous custodial/housekeeping or similar management experience in a hospital or hotel; healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Management Experience: 5 years.
Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years of work experience in housekeeping or custodial services.
