Job description

Crown Golf, a leading multi-site golf club operator, is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the team at Batchworth Park Golf Club and its sister club, 9 of Herts.

Batchworth Park Golf Club, a Dave Thomas-designed parkland course, offers stunning views of the Hertfordshire countryside. Adjacent to it, 9 of Herts provides a welcoming 9-hole golf course & driving range open to the public. The Batchworth Park clubhouse has a friendly atmosphere for members and serves as a great venue for golf days, functions, meetings, and events.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Excellent management skills including strong leadership, diplomacy and communication.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Experience in marketing, business development, and growing revenue streams.
  • Proven success in a similar role, ideally within a leisure or golf club.
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen.
  • An understanding of golf industry trends and appropriate marketing media/channels to enable promotion of the Club.
  • Computer literacy relevant to the effective operation of a golf club; a working knowledge of Intelligent Golf would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of licensing law, employment law, health and safety legislation, and risk management.
  • Sound knowledge of the Rules of Golf and the World Handicap System would be advantageous.
  • A flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the position.
