Our Widnes site is a brand-new facility that will become the flagship for JLR freight in the UK. In partnership with our customer, as the General Manager you will lead the freight team to create a best-in-class, efficient, and sustainable freight operation.

The General Manager is responsible for building high-performing, well-engaged teams to deliver business objectives across all dimensions, including people, financial, customer, and operations.

Are you a seasoned people leader, with transport or warehouse management experience? Can you lead and deliver on continuous improvement projects throughout your site and beyond? Then we would like to hear from you!

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Build and nurture high-performing, engaged teams to achieve our business objectives in areas such as people, finances, customer service, and operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, senior management, and key stakeholders to foster collaboration and support.
• Strive for excellence by implementing our 5-year strategic plan and maximizing site operations to meet the needs of both our clients and DHL.
• Listen to and act upon the Voice of the Customer, ensuring that we understand and respond to their needs effectively.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in General Management within a transport (preferred) or warehouse environment.
• Strong background in project and change management on a large scale.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team to achieve their best.
• Exceptional skills in customer engagement and relationship management.
