We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager to take the helm of our charming 35 bedroom hotel tucked on the edge of the New Forest's 'capital', Lyndhurst. This is an excellent opportunity for a first-time General Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, with the support of an experienced senior leadership team.

About the Role:

As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will lead, motivate, and develop a passionate team, driving exceptional service and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
  2. Oversee all operational aspects, including front of house, housekeeping, F&B, and events
  3. Manage budgets, financial targets, and cost controls to maximise profitability
  4. Drive sales and revenue opportunities while maintaining the hotel's high standards
  5. Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and staff engagement
  6. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  7. Build strong relationships with guests, the local community, and key stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
  1. Previous experience in a senior hospitality role (e.g., Deputy Manager, Operations Manager, or similar)
  2. A hands-on leader with excellent communication and organisational skills
  3. A strong focus on guest experience, service excellence, and attention to detail
  4. Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs
  5. Passion for hospitality and a desire to grow within a well-respected establishment
