General Manager

A leading global supplier of natural food ingredients (spices, essential oils, food colouring) has an immediate requirement for an experienced General Manager to manage, develop, and grow the UK business.

Location: Hybrid but ideally in East Midlands area, Peterborough, Leicester, Northamptonshire, Kettering, Corby, NN18 8LH

Salary: Circa £70,000 – £80,000 bonus/benefits (TBC)

The current operation in the UK is well-organised but small, and as General Manager, your role will be to develop and grow the UK business to help it reach its full potential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set the strategic direction for the UK company
  2. Oversee the organisation's daily operations
  3. Full P&L responsibility
  4. Grow and develop the sales team
  5. Regular reporting to Senior Board members

As General Manager, you will have extensive experience within the food industry. A technical education would be an advantage, but proven experience in growing a small company is essential. This is a hands-on role, and you will be leading by example. A previous sales background is also essential.

The role will suit individuals currently working as Managing Director, CEO, COO, Managing Partner, Operations Manager, Sales Director, or Business Development Director.
